Many important papers by Rogers and others who were on the staff, or doctoral students at the U.
of C. counselling center are in the "discussion papers".  The first version of "The necessary and sufficient conditions...." by Rogers, for example is among those papers.  Many of the papers were later published in journals.

6. TheUnited States Library of Congress, Washington DC. has a Carl Rogers Archive with   letters, articles, transcripts of Rogers. Anyone can go to that Archive and use it. You must have photo ID and go to
a separate building to get photographed and the Library ID card made. Takes about 45 minutes. The library staff are very helpful. Best to call ahead in case they have stored the material you want in a warehouse apart from the library.  One can call and arrange to have the "bibliography" of the Carl Rogers' archive sent in advance, so you know what you want them to get out. There are 165 or so big boxes and each box has 15 or so files.  Each file may have 4 or 6 different things in it, or only one or 2 big things, such as many interviews.
