How to find a Person-Centred Counsellor

Counsellors are listed by County in England & Wales and Region in Scotland. By clicking on the County/Regional name you will be taken to the geographical location of your choice. Don't forget to check nearby areas too.
All counsellors listed work in a Person-Centred/Client Centred way. I have shown the Association/s each counsellor belongs to:
- BAPCA = British Association for the Person Centred Approach*
- PCT = Person Centred Therapy (Scotland)
All counsellors have at least 300 hours of specifically Person-Centred training. If the counsellor is listed in the current BACP Counselling & Psychotherapy Resource Directory as an Accredited Member I have indicated this. BACP has recently started using the term Approved Member for Accredited Members.
Simply being a member of BACP infers nothing about training. Member agree to abide by the Association's Code of Ethics and can be forced to leave the Association if they break the code. All PCT (Scotland) members and those who are BACP Accredited agree to abide by BACP Code of Ethics. Other counsellors are likely abide by the BACP code of ethics but you should check if the Counsellor is abiding by a Code of Ethics when contacting the counsellor. Don't be embarrassed to ask this question, and don't assume it.

I am collecting information about Person-Centred/Client Centred counsellors outside of Britain. All Counsellors listed have told me that they have at least 300 hours of Person-Centred training. (Many have had much more). You should check that Counsellors are members of a Professional Association in your country and that they agree to be bound by a code of ethics. Such codes will vary from country to country, don't be shy to ask.
Counsellors are indexed by country. I assume you will be contacting them from within your own country and therefore international dialling codes have not been included. Internet addresses are included where ever possible.
